This engraved gold Keeper Ring has its original hallmarks, stamped to reveal its origin in 1900 Birmingham, England. This style came into vogue during the Victorian Era as a keeper or "guard ring" to a wedding ring, worn on top, to prevent it from coming off. Today it makes a one-of-a-kind wedding band or stand alone statement ring.
