Jeanette's energy left a really good impression on our Oakland store manager, Danica, and ESQUELETO founder Lauren Wolf over the past few weeks as she chose her engagement ring. She ended up with such a beautiful piece by Rebecca Overmann which seemed to suit her perfectly. The whole experience was really sweet so I asked her to share a little bit of her story in our blog: Kayla: How did you meet Mikey, your fiancé? Jeanette: I actually met my fiancé online - BUT we actually went to the same high school and have a ton of mutual friends. It's pretty weird - we know - but we are both so much cooler now than we were in high school! Our first blind date was spent wandering City Lights Bookstore in North Beach and grabbing a beer at Vesuvio next door.
K: How did you find us? J: I found Esqueleto through my love for Doughnut Dolly next door. (haha) I was always obsessed with the aesthetic of Esqueleto from the ceramics, art, jewelry - everything is so beautiful and carefully chosen. I knew I could trust them when I was in search for a unique engagement ring.
K: Tell us about your ring. What drew you to it? What do you like most about it? J: I knew I wanted something simple and classic, but not too boring. I tried on a few but when I tried on the "one" I literally gasped. It was perfect! The marquise diamond is set point-up. It is just different enough and has a slight futuristic/star treky feeling too it.
K: What are your wedding plans? J: All we know is that we want all of our favorite people and tall trees surrounding us - eating great food and sipping strong cocktails.
