ESQUELETO is looking for an in house jewelry production and studio manager to manage both it's in house line, Lauren Wolf Jewelry, and all ESQUELETO custom projects and repairs. This is a full time, in house position located in the downtown Oakland. Please see job description below and requirements for sending in an application.
+ Maintain and execute production schedule to ensure prompt fulfillment of all orders and jobs
+ Manage inventory and ordering of equipment, tools, castings, beads and stones, working with our network of vendors to ensure timely delivery and uninterrupted production flow
+ Assist as necessary in production duties including fabrication, stone setting and repairs
+ Serve as the point of quality control to ensure all jobs leaving the studio meet our quality standards
+ Coordinate with outside vendors to complete jobs when necessary
+ Work with wholesale reps to fulfill wholesale orders, including invoicing, picking, production, packing, and shipping
+ Improve efficiency and lead times for all production operations
+ Lead training and development efforts for production team
+ Maintain LWJ Inventory (Benchworks) and Casting Orders
+ Review and analyze production efficiency, lead times, losses and quality control metrics on a quarterly basis
+ Serve as liaison between studio, retail shops, and wholesale reps
+ Maintain and update database of manufacturing costs and pricing for all wholesale styles
+ Price new jewelry styles and audit existing styles for pricing accuracy relative to current manufacturing costs. Set up and maintain inventory in either QB or Shopventory.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of production management experience along with experience working on the jeweler's bench. Excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail are a must. This position marries bench skills and technical execution and the ideal candidate must be able to do both. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is able to work both independently and on a team and able to function in a tight knit work place.
+ Proficiency in basic jewelry production skills
+ Solid foundation in Excel and Inventory tracking systems
+ Knowledge of Quickbooks and/or Shopventory and ability to manage inventory flow
+ Proficiency in pricing and sourcing
+ Ability to manage a team of 2-3 bench jewelers
+ Highly organized
+ Excellent Time Management Skills
+ Self motivated, hard working, and able to work with a team
